What is Toadtrip?
Hi. This is the inaugural post of Toadtrip.com so I would like to welcome you all to our website and be the first to say that we’re happy to have you here. So, what exactly is Toadtrip? We’re a small two-man game development company based in Brisbane, Australia. We have a passion for both playing and making games, the culmination of which is what we hope will be the first of many releases of our début title, “Zompocalypse: Episode One”.
We plan to continue to develop Zombie (as we refer to it) continuously over the next year so we can add all the crazy features that we have planned for it. This is only the beginning of the Zompocalypse. From driving stages (already implemented, yet needing polish), to crazy farmer zombies all the way up to the giant demon baby boss, we want to let our imaginations run wild and spew forth these ideas into every release we make. For those that support us by making a purchase, all bug fix and feature updates to episode one are free and we plan to release them on a regular basis.
Some of it was arduous and trying, but we’ve really enjoyed making Zombie, and we hope you have as much fun playing it as we did developing it. So, grab a friend and some wireless Xbox 360 controllers (yes, you can use them) and get blasting some zombies. Trust us, you’re doing them a favour by putting them out of their misery, they are zombies after all!
Peace – Wes and Paul
Good luck. I really liked the demo.
Awesome! Thank you so much.
There’s a demo? How much is the game?
I’m just so freakin’ happy to see a brisbane based game house that isn’t Auran (though they may be praised forever).
Hi there websinthe. The demo is coming tonight/early Saturday morning, so you’ll be able to check it out then. The full version is just under $10USD, so pretty cheap. The demo will be a cut down version of the full (to also help save our hosting costs heh) and will have a selection of weapons from the full version.
The demise of Auran was a sad day. There’s also Krome and Creative Assembly in Brisbane, and a few others.
maybe if you had a non explicit version for prudes like me it would be nice, i downloaded it, and immediately cut it out at the first “zombie cocksucker” exclamation. Oh well.
Hi j. Perhaps in the future we could have a non-explicit option in the game. For the moment though it would result in many of those particular elements being removed, destroying part of what we think is the soul of the game. I think in future releases we could have an option to tone it down, that would be nice.
You should release this game on XBOX live and use the XNA community you game most likely would sell like hot cakes on there and become the best platform title.

you should check out the above and submit this badass Zombie game to live
Hi TeamXBox. We’re currently looking into other avenues of getting Zompocalypse out there, and yes, we’d love to see it on Xbox 360, preferable as a scaled up XBLA title, but we have to see what the future brings. At the moment we’re just a couple of guys doing this part-time, so we need more support to make that sort of move.
Wow! Thank you! I always wanted to write in my site something like that. Can I take part of your post to my blog?
